The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching is the entry-level certification for networking professionals aiming to work with Cisco networking devices. This certification validates an individuals capability to use the skills needed for network management and support.
There are two distinct paths to achieving the Cisco CCNA. For experienced professionals, Cisco offers the CCNAX, an accelerated version of the CCNA that could cut the time it takes you to get certified. By taking this course, you’ll first be able to achieve your Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) by passing the ICND1 exam. Then to achieve your CCNA Routing and Switching certification, you’ll then need to successfully pass the ICND2 exam.
The CCNAX course is an intense option and is built for networking professionals who already have hands on experience. While not recommended for beginners, if you’re experienced with Cisco Devices or your CCNA is expiring soon, the CCNAX is your fastest route to certification.
It is important for advanced professionals who already possess the qualification to stay up to date as recertification must be achieved every three years.
